Lynn Van Airsdale, M.S.  L.Ac., Diplomate in Chinese Herbology

Oriental Medicine Practitioner

(National and Wisconsin Licensure in Acupuncture; Diplomate in Chinese Herbology)

Lynn is a graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine. This degree includes coursework which leads to National certification in Chinese herbs. (NCCAOM Dipl. C.H.). She studied Oriental medical theory, herbology, and had an opportunity to be involved in current Chinese medicinal research. She interned at the Oregon Health and Sciences University Family Medicine clinic as well as several other public health clinic settings.

From this experience, she became aware of the dire need for improvement of health care accessibility, particularly Chinese medicine, to the greater population. Under the tutelage of a leading Naturopathic doctor, Lynn developed an interest in endocrinology and neuroimmunology. She finds that expanding her knowledge of both allopathic and Oriental medicine aids in bridging the gap between medicine of the East and West, facilitating communication with both doctors and patients. Previously, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a double bachelor’s degree in anthropology and women’s studies. Her study of women’s health and interest in public health led her into the realm of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In 2007, she traveled to Hyderabad, India to practice in a public health clinic serving the villages surrounding Repalle.
